Terms & Conditions
1. Commissions: All 3D relief works, wood inlays, and display bases are created to order. Each piece is designed and produced specifically for the commissioning client and cannot be repurposed for other projects.
2. Deposits & Payments: A 50% deposit: is required to secure all commissions. For international clients, full payment may be required before production begins. Payments are made directly to Studio Works Design using the agreed method.
For larger commissions, we can offer a payment plan. Once 70% of the total amount has been received, production will commence.
3. Non‑Refundable Deposit: Once production has commenced, the deposit becomes non‑refundable. This reflects the bespoke nature of the work: time invested and materials selected cannot be recovered or reassigned.
4. Production Timelines: Standard production time for a single relief piece is 3–4 weeks. Multi‑piece commissions or periods of elevated demand may require additional time.
5. Client Deadlines: If you are working towards a particular deadline, please discuss this with us before commissioning. While we will always endeavour to accommodate, certain stages of the process cannot be accelerated without compromising quality, detail, or structural integrity.
6. Design Approval: Any design proofs or previews must be approved by the client before production begins. Delays in approvals and changes requested after approval may affect timelines and may incur additional costs.
We work from high‑resolution photographs to ensure the highest possible level of detail and clarity in the final commission.
7. Changes & Cancellations: Cancellations can only be accepted before production begins. Once work has started, the deposit is retained in full.
Requests for changes must be made prior to design approval. Changes requested after approval are subject to the conditions outlined in point 6 above.
8. Materials: Timber is a natural material. Variations in grain, tone, and texture are inherent and contribute to the uniqueness of each piece. These natural characteristics are not considered defects.
9. Shipping & Delivery: Shipping arrangements are discussed individually for each commission. Delivery times vary by region. International clients are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees.
10. Damage in Transit: Any damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery so that we can assist with a resolution.
11. Intellectual Property & Use of Commissioned Work: All designs, concepts, and imagery remain the intellectual property of Studio Works Design unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may photograph and publish commissioned pieces on our website, portfolio, and social media platforms. These images may include identifiable representations of individuals, families, or businesses, as well as associated names or visual elements. Clients may request non‑publication prior to commissioning.
12. Website & Policy Updates: This website and its policies may be refined periodically to reflect the standards and evolution of our studio.
